Exciting Changes Coming to the Syble Hopp School Parent Organization

About the Event

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year at Syble Hopp, we’re excited to share some positive changes to how our Parent Organization will operate.

In an effort to better support all families and encourage wider participation, the Parent Organization will be shifting in a new direction. The current structure will be dissolved, and key activities—such as Prom, Staff Appreciation Luncheons, Family Engagement events, and more—will now be supported directly through parents, administration, and staff.

This change will allow parents and caregivers to get involved on a more flexible basis, without the need for an ongoing commitment. Whether you can help out occasionally or have new ideas to share, your involvement will be welcome and valued!

Fundraising will continue to be an important part of supporting experiences beyond the school board’s standard curriculum. These efforts help fund opportunities like busing for field trips, bowling outings, Special Olympics participation, and expanded Community-Based Instruction activities.

In order to move forward, a final vote is required. This vote will be held virtually on Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00 PM​ by our Executive Board. We encourage all parents and caregivers to attend and make their voices heard.
